For the folks who would prefer my extensive in-depth video review of Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, you can watch the video below:
Alright, for the folks who would rather read, here it goes!
What games are included in the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle?
Like most people including myself, you’re probably wondering how many games do I get for $20 buckaroos?
The bundle includes:
- Final Fight – my all-time favorite, spent countless quarters on this game, I’m sure I put several arcade owner’s kids thru college
- Captain Commando – my 2nd all-time favorite
- King of Dragons
- Knights of the Round
- Warriors of Fate
- Armored Warriors – Unavailable in consoles until now
- Battle Circuit- Unavailable in consoles until now
Is it worth it?
I’ll be honest if you didn’t grow up hanging in video arcades and growing up playing these games, it’ll be hard to relate for the young-uns. However, if you did grow up spending countless hours playing Final Fight, Captain Commando, and etc, then this bundle is for you!
Quick Tips (I’m too old for this sh*t)
Can I give you some quick tips while playing this on a console?
I’m too old to be button mashing the same button over and over again. Instead, in the game option, you can switch it to turbo buttons. Your hands will thank you and you’re welcome!
Also, I find all the games in the bundle do not respond to the super move that well. For example, pressing A + B buttons together. One of three possibilities will happen:
- Super move – this is what you want
In the game option, you can set a button that mimics pressing A + B together, no more super move mishap. Woot!
I felt the game difficulty was a lot harder than I remembered or I am simply getting old… You can adjust the game difficulty and also the number of lives you have per credit or quarter.
I enjoyed this bundle quite a bit. Great nostalgia product and I have a feeling more game companies will follow suit with this model to bring back old games in the new market.
