NAD+

NAD+, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a critical coenzyme found in every cell in your body, and it’s involved in hundreds of metabolic processes. But NAD+ levels decline with age.
NAD+ has two general sets of reactions in the human body:

Sometimes a chromatin (condensed form of DNA) becomes open, or unwound, and this means it’s vulnerable to damage. When the histones (proteins) are deacetylated by sirtuins, the chromatin is closed, meaning gene expression is stopped, or silenced.
