A Review of MAC’s Matte & Satin Shadows
I’ve been using MAC products for over 14 years. . . and I still find them to be the longest-wearing, deeply saturated and concentrated colors, and highly versatile makeup around for street fashion.
Recently I replenished some of my favorites: Shadowy Lady & Haux.
MAC Shadowy Lady is a matte shadow. It’s a muted neutral, blackened deep purple. It is an excellent substitution for black. It has a semi-opaque, color coverage that can easily be built up. The texture is soft and smooth that resisted blending despite its application and feel. It is reasonably long wearing at 8 hours.
MAC Haux is a warm/neutral mauve with a Satin finish that is a semi-opaque, buildable color. The texture is indeed satiny and it spreads on easily. It does diminish in opacity and coverage within 5 hours.
