Backstory

After appearing on ABC’s “Shark Tank” and receiving an investment from Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary in 2015, LovePop has been dedicated to creating thousands of unique designs to help people share love with their loved ones. The founders, Wombi Rose and John Wise, who became best friends during their time at Webb Institute training to become naval architects, were inspired by the incredible paper art form of kirigami during a trip to Vietnam. They combined their engineering background with the sliceform structure used in ship design to develop Slicegami™, the technique behind LovePop’s intricate cards.
