What is up everyone, this is your boy, mr. Product reviews. And today we are doing a review on D Dyson supersonic hairdryer. And uh, this is kind of like one of the hottest thing that actually been hearing this year in terms of Christmas item for folks. And I, my sub is kind of curious myself as well because um, I have long hair and I am always on the lookout for a, you know, good high quality a hairdryer and you know, I have some Dyson product in the past as well. I started, I had a Dyson ball, uh, being my first exposure to Dyson and that’s kinda like their flagship product, right? That Dyson vacuum cleaner, right? Like I’m sure most of you have heard about. Uh, and then next I had a Dyson air purifier, which I also have done a review on. If you look for my channel, you’ll be able to find my review on the Dyson air purifier.
So, um, you know, I didn’t really hesitate when I heard about the hairdryer. I am curious about it. And this is probably by far the most expensive, um, hairdryer that I’ve purchased, like in my life, like hands down. Uh, so this at the moment I got this off of Amazon at the moment it is, uh, three 99 pretty much, you know, in all purposes, a $400. Uh, it did at the moment it did. It did come with a $50 gift card and Amazon gift card when you purchase this. So be sure that if you are purchasing, you know, around the same time I’m making this video, you might be able to uh, snack up that deal as well. So that pretty much brings the price down to about three 50. It might be cheaper. Uh, when you guys do watch this video, uh, hard to say cause you know, Amazon does fluctuate the price quite a bit, but at the moment I purchased this, that uh, $400 with a $50 Amazon gift card.
Uh, so, uh, before I kind of showed me around a box, it’s still in this plastic. As you can see, it’s still kind of shiny and the light is it really helping. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to unwrap the plastic and I would just kinda take a look at the box around and after that we’ll do an unboxing. All right, so I just removed the plastic from the box and um, as you can see, I just want to give you guys a three, a quick three 60 around the box and I’ll definitely go into detail with it in a bit. Uh, but, uh, this box is probably a little bit bigger than your traditional shipping box, if you will. Uh, if you are planning to send it to work and bringing it home, uh, it might be slightly too large for your, you know, traditional laptop bag or what have you. And it does, you know, have some way to at, it feels like about 15 to 20 pounds. I mean, I could be wrong. I mean, this is just me holding it up. So do go away. Do you know, be aware of that. If you are traveling long distance, you know, while holding this, it is, you know, uh, you know, for, for a large
frame person, probably, probably not so much with the VR smaller frame, you know, you don’t exercise a lot. This might be a good to carry, uh, for long distance. Uh, however, uh, this is the box. Uh, this is kind of like the cover. So I’m just gonna like, you know, hold this in front. If you guys want to pause the video and read the text as totally, totally, totally fine. Uh, and then, uh, so it does come with three different type of nozzle, uh, over here. So this little bright, I readjust the camera slightly. Yep. So as you can see it or it’s just kind of like different types of nozzle here. So you’ve kinda got the diffuser. Uh, you got the, uh, I get the concentrator and then the a nozzle. Uh, I probably, for me, I think I’ll probably use these two. Probably I have straight, long hair.
So these two might be the one that I’ll be using. Uh, this one, I’m not so sure how that works. So I might have my wife do a quick demonstration on how exactly, maybe all three of them, like how, how they work for her. She did have curly hair, so she might be a better candidate to kind of explain all this stuff. Um, so, um, let’s see. Let’s go to kind of decide over here, just some, you know, quick, uh, you know, info zero number or what have you. Uh, and then, you know, some marketing texts about like, you know, how all this technology work. If you’re interested, feel free to pause the video teachers kind of read the text and what have you. Um, yep. So, uh, now to back, um, so this is kinda how to hit air-dry looks like it is. It does look a little bit like futuristic and it’s kinda cool in my opinion.
Uh, so, um, I guess the marketing Texas, you know, fast drying, no extreme heat. Uh, what really, what I thought was really cool when I was doing research was that it, uh, measures the air temperature over 40 times a second. So I thought that was pretty, uh, impressive and, um, you know, you guys ever only get Dyson fan. This is, we’re similar to that design, so I guess they pretty much took that design and made a hairdryer out from it, which is pretty cool. And from what from, you know, my research as well, people have been talking about that this is like a very quiet a hairdryer compared to your traditional hairdryer. So to ask yet to be seen, I am curious about it. Uh, fast drying V nine motor spins at 110,000 RPM. Uh, I guess that, you know, that’s something I should be impressed about.
I really don’t know much about hairdryer except that it dries hair, uh, negative ions over here anyway. So, uh, I just, you know, slowly moved this box from top to bottom. So if any of y’all want to just pause the video and read the texts for, feel free to do so. Um, yep. So pretty much I don’t know what the box looks like that and anything else that I’m missing this C, um, I don’t think so. I didn’t over it on this side, there’s really nothing much. Um, so, so in the next part, what I’m going to do is, uh, the, um, unboxing. So, uh, stay tuned. Okay. So this is the unboxing portion of the video. So pretty much, you know, there’s a box and this is kind of like a paper wrap. It wraps around a box. So I just kinda like started this out a little bit so that you guys don’t have to watch me struggle sledding dispart out.
So, uh, I’m assuming, and I’m just gonna pull this out and uh, there you go. And again, pretty cool. I get, this is probably probably the schematic design of the hairdryer, so that’s pretty cool design. Uh, I think this class is pretty much bare bone in terms of like design wise, which I like a very minimal mistake, a Dyson logo over here, uh, in the back, like just very, very simple design. And let me just see how it can, Oh yeah, I can feel it already. So yeah, just kind of open it like this shit. Flip open sec.
Oh, here you go. Alright. So, alright, so I’m going to flip this open and elk just fell off probably for me shaking the box. It has some styrofoam in here to protect it while you know this unit’s being shipped. Um, pretty good. Um, so this is Thea diffuser. Uh, that’d be SAR earlier. Not sure what it does yet. I’m sure you guys can find video on it possibly. But this is the, a diffuser, uh, looks like. What is this? So this is a power cord. I see a power cord is connected to the a hairdryer. How can I take this out? I guess those numbers stuff over here. So let’s, I just got some stuff here. I don’t know what it is. Oh yeah, fill this out. Um, so it kinda got this thing here. I don’t know what it does yet, so I am curious what this does.
Um, but I’m still having trouble taking out the cover. Quote link. Let’s see. Okay, now the pilot cord is completely, yeah, I don’t know what this, all this stuff is. So I’m going to put this over here, just as the a power cord, uh, reset and tests a pretty standard here. Dryer ever. Operations stuff, power pour. Um, yup. That’s more wire and um, so, and it does come with a lanyard. So I guess you can like, um, this is kind of small for an angered. I, I am curious as to what this is for was probably probably for something. We’ll figure it out. Um, I then, this is the hairdryer. It is, if he was actually, um, it’s pretty good. It’s got some good weight. It’s definitely, definitely slightly lighter than a traditional hairdryer for, you know, uh, for me. Um, so it’s still pretty heavy as, Oh, when I say heavy, it’s like maybe five pounds, five, six pounds.
Uh, so, but if you, it’s pretty good. It’s got a nice grip to it. The texture affords, you know, some grip to it. It does fuse pretty good. He almost feels like, you know, holding a hammer like a Thor’s hammer, if you will. Uh, so, uh, here’s the, you know, I guess the on and off, uh, and it gets the blue button is probably to cool, uh, to get Korean and whatnot. Uh, so I guess this will be where your point point, you know, where you will be pointing towards you here. Maybe we’ll see, we’ll find out. Uh, cool. And then, uh, more attachments, um, and cause this Cardi concentrate or maybe, uh, or just one. So it does come with three attachments. So just one and two and it does come with a third one. The diffuser. Uh, so there you go. And, uh, I don’t know if there’s anything else.
Uh, well the instruction booklet booklet is kind of interesting. His son grabbed him, asked him like, it’s like, I just noticed that like none of these stub or kind of like wrapped in plastic. You know how when you buy new stuff you can get stuff wrapped in plastic, but none of these are wrapped in plastic. It’s kind of interesting. Uh, however, uh, E M instruction booklet is a wrapped in plastic for whatever reason, why needs a plastic around it. But, uh, so it’s got some instruction with different languages. Looks like, um, it looks that I could learn more about it. It does. Uh, it looks like it does come with a two year Dyson warranty. Uh, if you do the Ani registration to me just ended up not a way for them to market to you, whatever. Right. You know. Um, so that’s the warranty stuff.
Uh, some, uh, stuff about ground fault circuit interrupter, hers, uh, you know, um, just warning and stuff like that. Uh, let’s see. Trying to, finding out, should I find if there’s anything interesting about this unit? Um, yeah, so they’re just instructions and things like that. Um, I prefer not to, Oh, this might be, this might be useful. So it looks like this thing is the nonslip mat. All right, so we got this, so this is Matt. I guess this would be something that you would put your hair dryer on when you’re not using it. Anything causes it not to slip. Let me see. Let me see if it, if this thing does slip them not so, Oh yeah, yeah. It’s definitely won’t cause you to slip it. It’s pretty, yeah. So I guess this is kind of like how you would put your hairdryer somewhere.
Um, so it doesn’t just fall off. Um, cool. Um, still don’t know what does Langur still not sure what a designer does, but I guess we’ll find out eventually. So there you go. So inside a box you get the a hairdryer, the non-slip mat, and you get also dead three attachments with it and also just instructions and whatnot and what have you. I don’t really think there’s anything else behind this. So let me just do one last chart. Yeah. So phone’s empty. So there you go. That’s it. So, uh, in the next part, uh, what I’ll do is I’ll connect this unit real quick just to, uh, turn it on and see, kinda like how it sounds like. Uh, I heard a supposed to be pretty quiet, but I thought maybe you guys wanna just hear it to see, you know how that sounds like.
All right, so now we’re at the kind of like the product demonstration of the Dyson hairdryer here. Um, and so I already have this hooked up on the, uh, electrical outlet. And also I figured that I figured out like basically what this language is for. So does Langer attaches to the base of the electrical cord. And then, so one way you could store it as is, you know, you could just lay it down on your non-slip mat that’s provided, uh, with, you know, this unit or you can just, you know, hook it on a bathroom door or what have you. So you could just hook it like that, uh, if you choose. Uh, so there’s a couple of different ways on how you want to store this. And this is where your, you will be putting the attachment and also putting attachment a is pretty simple.
So if this is, this green hair is actually a magnet. So, you know, just be sure you don’t have a credit card right next to it or what have you, or else you’re gonna have a barrier, bad day with your credit. Uh, so, uh, you know, just kinda hook it up like that. See that so easy, just kind of slap snaps right in. He could turn in and what have you. And if you want to detach it, you just simply take it out like that, uh, works with the other two just as well. Um, pretty simple, just put them out with the third one, just kind of like adapt. So it’s pretty cool. Uh, in terms of attachment, I think it’s very like engineering as I call it. Uh, and, and I like it because I happened to be an engineer myself, so I really like stuff that are like that anyway.
Um, and in terms of cleaning, the filter is down here, so all you gotta do is you just gotta twist and pull up and then you can clean the filter out. So for this outer part, uh, if you want to clean it, you at the instruction says use a clean cloth. No water, no water whatsoever, by the way. Uh, so you could take a clean cloth just to kind of like clean out here and also clean here. And then you have some really, really rough spot. Take a soft toothbrush, but again, no water, no cleaning solution would have you just gently brush it. This is a very fine metal mesh right here. Uh, so I think, uh, in, in instruction he just says, you know, be careful and again, don’t use water whatsoever in any part of this unit. Uh, so, uh, let me try you push this.
I’m having trouble. I got the uh, filter out, but then like, uh, somehow the, uh, landlord got caught over here, so I’m just need to pull this up. Alright, cool. So putting it back, it’s pretty simple. You just put in place turn and you’re good. Uh, so yeah, pretty easy actually. But again, very engineering. Uh, I said I love it. Uh, so now what I’m going to do, I’m just, I’m just going to put an attachment. You don’t have to put an attachment to turn this on, but like, you know, just so it looks more complete if you will. So there you go. I’ll probably use probably dis attachment or this attachment that we have. I was blowing, blow drying my hair. Um, and I think this is more for like, you know, styling for the ladies and what have you. Um, it’s like early attachment Han.
So now I’m going to turn this on and um, I apologize if you guys can hear me once the unit is on. Uh, but, uh, we’ll, we’ll, we’ll give this a try in terms of audio. So I’m going to turn this on and I’ll, hopefully you guys can still hear over here driving on. So, um, so the air’s going to suck this way. I was going blow out here. Um, Eric is definitely not hot, but he’s definitely going to get the job done and flying here. And these are their different, our fan setting, maximum setting.
How do you want cool. Here. This is the button you’ll smoke in. Cool air over here. So I’m just going to turn this off a second. Um, so to me, uh, this hairdryer is definitely a softer than the hairdryer that I currently own. Um, so, uh, I am, you know, I am kind of surprised that like, you know, it feels, you know, the airflow few skit. Um, I love the grip of it and it’s just, you know, overall just feel very, you know, engineering overall. Uh, so in the next part, what I’m going to do is I’m going to give a quick kind of like product demonstration on, um, a quick view basically on how I feel. Uh, Y you know, when I blow drama here with this unit compared to my, you know, Oh, hairdryer that I owned for the last, I don’t know, five years or so. Uh, so stay tuned.
All right. So, uh, pretty much, um, I’ve been using, uh, this Dyson hairdryer for I probably about three weeks now and I’ve been using it religiously every day just so I can good, get a good temperature as to like, you know, is this worth like $400, right? I mean, this is a very expensive hairdryer, probably one of the most expensive hair dry, dry I ever. So I just really wanted to see if this is, you know, the real McCoy. Right. Um, so, um, I can definitely say that like, um, both my wife and I, um, enjoy this hairdryer quite a bit. Um, so my hair naturally is, um, I have really long hair as well. And so, um, my hair just naturally kind of kinks up at once. It gets a certain length length and you know, regardless of what conditioner I use and, and uh, healing here, oil that use, I always get Kingston.
It’s just the nature of my hair and um, and other conventional hairdryer, I feel like it, um, I, it creates a lot of kink because of, you know, the whole blow drying, you know, the, the, the, the wind and S in the stuffing just kind of gets my hair messed up. Um, with this one. I, uh, w this Dyson hairdryer, I got to say that, um, I think it’s working. I think it’s working. Um, and it, I get, I still get kinks, but not as much, uh, if I was using a conventional hairdryer. Uh, and, uh, my, my wife also, uh, is a believer now too. It took her a little bit longer. Like for me, uh, when I first used this, um, you know, I was expecting like, wow, you know, after one use, you know, like, um, you know, it’s going to change my life.
Uh, it’s not that, by the way, so, so don’t expect, you know, there’s going to be like America, like the first time you used this Dyson hairdryer. Um, it took me about the second and third time before, before I kind of realized like, Oh, I think this is working. You’re not instill, I wasn’t sold yet because like, you know, it could be, you know, a confirmation bias because like, you know, I just, I just dropped, you know, Oh, should I say sunk cost bias, right? Uh, I just drunk $400 and days. So, you know, it must be working right to sugar, you know, a coat effect. Right. Um, the sugar pill effect. Right. So, um, and I gotta say I use this for three weeks and I don’t think that’s it. Um, I actually, I, I, I enjoy spending $400 on this hairdryer cause I feel like it does work, but don’t expect a miracle after one use.
It’s going to take you probably for my wife. It took her about two weeks. Uh, for me it took me about, you know, two or three days cause I blow dry my hair every day. So, um, so I would say probably give it a a week, right? Like, you know, consistent use before you, you say like, Hey, you know, this is not working or this is way too expensive, you know, and whatnot. So just give us some time and, uh, if y’all, you know, want a kind of like a demo video, um, you know, for my wife or whatever, you know, just, you know, drop us a comment and, uh, if there’s enough traction, I’ll make sure that I’ll get my wife on a camera and she could do some demonstration as to, you know, how great this hairdryer is. And again, I said it took her a little bit more to fall in love with this hairdryer, but, uh, yeah, we love it.
Um, so there you go. This is the review of the Dyson I hairdryer. Um, I hope you guys, you know, learn something from my and enjoy this. And of course, you know, any, any, you know, links to purchase this product or any yesterday information, it will be at the video description below this video. It would mean a lot to me that we really, you know, give me a push to, you know, do more reviews in the future, uh, and whatnot. So that’s kinda like my encouragement and motivation. So if you can do that, that’s much appreciate it. Um, I didn’t have that until next time. Mr Prado reviews out.
